VindictiveAgainst the secluded and isolated darkness,
Hidden within the deep crevices of her refuge
Where the cogwheels of time itself
Slow to a near halt--
Far beyond the East in the frozen wasteland,
In solitude she abides,
A crippling alloy of anger and sadness
Clamps around her soul in an icy grip.
Nightmarish shrieks of the banshees
Fade into nothingness in the far distance,
As the frozen, lifeless shell of the Earth
Lays as a desolate and ruined wasteland.
A thick sheet of snow blankets the fields:
Rolling over the moors and hills,
Whilst the sharp bite of the crystalline frost
Blows menacingly on the wind.
Gently sweeping across steppes and through passes,
The soft material of her gown brushes over the terrain.
Her icicle nails drag along rivers,
Turning them instantly to ice.
Her silky black hair flows behind her,
Blown by the algid breath of Boreas.
The song of the ocean is muted--
Majestic waves unable to utter their cries.
Revenge remaining unsated;
She unleashes the wrath she held fo
One DayOne day, you looked into the sky
And saw the world through another's eyes.
Everything was turned upside-down:
The birds and clouds drifted on the ground;
Trees' roots descended from the sky,
And this whole time, you wondered why--
Why is it that another sees
The world as it now seems to be?
Standing on this pebble that spins so;
Another day comes, and then it goes.
What is life in this person's mind?
Has it seemed to pass them by?
How do they feel; why do they cry?
What do they search for?
Are they afraid to die?
Continuing to gaze into the sky,
Tears begin to spill out of your eyes.
Why argue and fight; why hate and die?
Why not care? Why ignore each other's cry?
All are human; all feel the same--
All exist and are conscious, and are called by a name.
What one sees can be much different than
Another who sees the world as barren land.
Life is around us; it's in us to give.
A twinkle in an eye, a smile, or a kiss.
