Firstly, do not use cannabis to replace chemotherapy. It is NOT more effective than chemo, so don't spread this irresponsible information.
Secondly it says "chemotherapy kills more people than it saves", but we're not talking about normal people here, we are talking about very ill cancer patients. It still does SAVE MANY people, along with other targeted therapies (eg monoclonal ab's) if appropriate.
Cannabinoids have shown to inhibit proliferation and increase apoptosis (cell death) in cancer cells, but this has been in-vitro and not in vivo in humans. No clinical trials have yet shown that cannabis alone can effectively treat cancer in a human. BUT medical marijuana is excellent for combatting the side effects such as nausea from medication such as chemotherapy.
We need to stop looking at international and ethnic culture practices as primitive or with prejudice eyes. There is so much to be benefited from sacred plants.
