Temple Haven

This is one of several digital paintings I am making based on scenes from a novel I was once planning to write. The name of the novel was Shirol, which told the story of a couple who were chosen to fight against an evil curse and free their realm.


Tucked behind the Hosh Shinelum,
At the edge of a dense forest in the Mountains of Sorayam--
Like a gem hidden from suffering--
Is the sacred haven with a green meadow
And a sapphire mountain lake,
Those who seek the secret of the heart
Transcend knowledge and desire
And enter wisdom and altruism--
Igniting their inner sun,
From which their light radiates.
